The Geodan group is composed of Geodan IT, Geodan Mobile Solutions and Geodan S&R. Geodan IT focuses on IT solutions for the private and public sectors, ensuring the adequate management and availability of geo-information. Geodan Mobile Solutions provides a wide range of Location Based Services for the mobile application of geo-information. Among other things, Geodan S&R works in the field of Research and Development. Because of this trinity, Geodan is an allrounder and an expert at the same time.

Geo-information belongs to all of us. It is about the online mapping of underground cables and wires, about looking for the nearest shop on the internet, about locating equipment: without spatial information we can’t get anywhere.

That is why geo-information occupies an important place in the information systems of government and industry. The demand for geo products and services is constantly growing and so is the need for people who are at home in the world of geo-information: Geodan’s experts.
What does Geodan do?
Geodan has the solution for all problems related to geo-information. We are specialized in IT solutions for both the private and public sectors, which can be used to ensure the adequate management and availability of geo-information. We also provide a wide range of Location Based Services (LBS), for mobile geo-information applications indoors and outdoors.

Innovation is in our genes. Since the start of Geodan in 1985, we have focused considerable attention on Research & Development. We have contributed to important developments in the field of geo software. For example, at the end of the eighties we developed the digital postcode map. In the recent past we developed a wide range of location based services for mobile telephone users.

How does Geodan operate?
Together we know more. That is why we mostly work in multidisciplinary project teams, teams that combine know-how in the fields of data, technology, project and process management. In addition we network internationally, cooperating closely with scientists and partners.

Besides our own tools, we use and integrate products from renowned providers. We adopt Oracle technology, the world’s largest provider of enterprise software. Other important partners are ESRI, MapInfo, Ionic, Tele Atlas, Falkplan•Andes and the Topografische Dienst Kadaster (Topographical Service Cadastre).
