Vodafone Navigator
Vodafone Navigator
Vodafone Romania has launched Vodafone Navigator, the first GPS navigation solution available on mobile phone for Romanian users. Vodafone Navigator is powered by the Israeli company Locationet and its My Map off-board solution. It offers maps of Romania – provided by local mapping company Suncart – and 18 other European countries.

Vodafone Navigator is available to the 7.7 million Vodafone Romania subscribers, for a monthly fee of US$8, which enables access to the maps of Romanian cities (national GPRS traffic included). Vodafone Navigator uses a Nokia Bluetooth GPS receiver sold for US$79. For access to the maps of European countries as well, an additional monthly fee of US$5 is charged. The costs corresponding to the generated GPRS roaming traffic is charged separately.

Vodafone GPS navigation solution is compatible with 42 handset models, including: Nokia E61, Nokia N70, Nokia 73, Nokia E50, Sony Ericsson V630i, Sony Ericsson W800i, Sony Ericsson K800i, Motorola E1070 and Motorola V3X.
