2ergo goes Direct
location based services
2ergo has launched its DirectResponse product suite, which it says will enable businesses to capture consumer profiling data, including contact details, lifestyle information, interests and referrals. In its initial version, DirectResponse will enable customers to text to a shortcode and receive a link to a mobile Internet site where they can browse through an organisation's product information, register their details and interest in the latest promotions, interact with competitions and quizzes, request a brochure or sales call, or place an order. DirectResponse also includes a payment module, allowing customers to securely pay for goods and services through their mobile phone, via SMS or credit and debit card. 2ergo says that by the end of the year, DirectResponse will also be available as an interactive speech-based product, offering the same sort of functionality over a fixed-line connection. DirectResponse also offers online reporting, allowing marketers to track the success of a given campaign and obtain real-time information on its progress. As DirectResponse is offered as a hosted solution, the company says that no capital outlay is needed. DirectResponse has been designed to complement 2ergo's existing mobile mapping and Location Based Services (LBS) offerings. When used as part of an integrated solution, the two applications enable a customer to find an organisation's nearest outlet, while at the same time enabling companies to dynamically change marketing messages to suit geographical locations, time and situational demands. "DirectResponse provides businesses with a greater ability to attract, convert and retain more customers, and thereby increase revenues” says 2ergo Joint Managing Director, Barry Sharples. “Many organisations already recognise the potential for high and immediate responses offered by the mobile phone, either as a separate channel or as part of an integrated campaign. But organisations are still missing the opportunity to maximise their potential to fully capture interest at a time when customers are most responsive. By enhancing the customer experience through innovative marketing solutions DirectResponse can help to effectively build brand awareness and perception.”
