Working closely with Telcontar engineering, LandSonar achieved seamless integration of its innovative forecast traffic data with DDS. Based on LandSonar’s extensive research, modeling and development with real-world traffic data, this joint development will enable DDS end-users to predict more accurate travel times and better routes.

Telcontar’s DDS is the premier geospatial software platform for location-based services in traffic estimates. It enables the delivery of a variety of location-based applications to multiple devices including cell phones, web browsers, PDAs, smartphones, and vehicle telematics units. Until today, routing solutions like DDS have relied solely on static speed data to determine estimated trip durations and arrival times. Now, with LPS compiled into Telcontar’s proprietary and patented Rich Map Format (RMF), users can quickly generate highly accurate, time sensitive predictive routes for the entire continental US.

LandSonar has been at work for over three years collecting billions of open and proprietary historic GPS and sensor observations to develop a highly accurate predictive capability.
