Cab drivers in New York City have announced a two-day strike to protest against being forced to install new equipment.
City officials want to keep track of the 13,000 taxi cabs by making them all install global positioning devices.
They also want all cabs to have credit card facilities.
The technology costs nearly $1,500 a year per cab, and drivers say it is too expensive.
