Please find me!

So, you’re one of those people who feel that being located via your cellphone is an invasion of privacy and that it doesn’t add any value to your life? Hmmm...

The scope of location-based services offered by Vodacom stretches far beyond keeping tabs on errant spouses. The ability to locate someone with cellular technology should be seen as the foundation on which genuinely useful applications are based.
For example, should you find yourself in an emergency situation, one of our services could literally come to your rescue.
Look4help is a service that allows Vodacom subscribers to trigger an SMS alert containing their location to four pre-specified cell numbers* in emergency situations. Your cellphone becomes a mobile panic button when you save the Look4help number *120*888*888# as a speed dial. The recipients of the distress message and location information can then try to contact you, physically come to your rescue or contact an emergency service.
This service is available to all Vodacom subscribers for a subscription-free promotional period until 1 September 2004. The cost of activating a Look4help alert is R2.99, and users can register by dialing *120*888*HELP#, or by going to www.look4me.co.za. You needn’t subscribe to the Look4me service in order to use Look4help. Any Vodacom subscriber can gain login details for the Look4me website simply by SMS’ing the word PIN to 31888.
The time you spend registering for Look4help today could save precious moments in a situation where every second counts.
Please note that you cannot be located by any of the cell numbers you have specified without initiating this distress message.
