The GV-201 is a complete navigation and entertainment system in a single package. Based on the Microsoft Windows CE platform, the GV-201 incorporates technology from SiRF combined with design from Globalsat resulting in a stylish all-in-one satellite navigation system.

The GV-201 is powered by a Samsung CPU running at 266MHz, with 64MB RAM and 64MB ROM, with a SD card slot for maps and application storage. The device has a 4" QVGA (320x240) colour TFT LCD touchscreen and measures 135mm x 90mm x 24.8 mm.

The GPS part of the device is based on the SiRFstarIII high sensitivity GPS chipset, providing fast and accurate positioning, and it comes with European or North American mapping.

The device can also be used as a MP3 music player or as a digital photo viewer.

The Globalsat GV-201 is also compatible with Bluetooth mobile phones, and can be used as a handsfree car kit.
