Useful GeoTagging Tools

* GeoBloggers.com now uses the Flickr authentication scheme, just click the login with Flickr button, and you can then easily add GeoTags to your Flickr Images via the new geobloggers interface.

* Greasemonkey :- A requirement for a number of GeoTagging tools

* Firefox - Cool Web Browser required by GreaseMonkey

* GMIF(Google Maps in Flickr) .CK's excellent GreaseMonkey script, this is a very slick javascript application that embeds itself right inside your Flickr photo page and allows you to easily add GeoTags to your images, view images that were taken nearby, and also has lots of other cool features too.

* Steeev's various GeoTagging scripts. You can choose from GeoTagging with Google maps, Google Earth, Multimap.com or Streetmap.co.uk depending on your preference.

* EXIF "stamping" software, that embeds the geo coordinate information directly into the images themselves. Very useful if you have a GPS device. Examples include WMMX Stamper and Importr (BTW WMMX Stamper works with or or without a GPS device)

* FlickrFly , RobRoyAus's cool application, lets you add a link on your photo pages, that lets a user fly to the location the photo was taken in Google Earth.

* Google Earth If you set up a network link to GeoBloggers.com , wherever you point the map to, you can see the geotagged images that were taken in that area. You can also use Google Earth to GeoTag your images via Steeev's latest script.

* flyr is a cool tool that allows you to search the Flickr image site for keywords in text, titles, tags and descriptions... pretty much anything that is searchable within the Flickr site! Dubbed "Flyr", your search results can be displayed as regular Flickr image results, plotted onto a Google Map or even opened up as an overlay in Google Earth.
