What is loopt?
loopt is a mobile service that connects you to the people, places, and events around you. It's a closed network meant to be used with friends you see and speak to on a day to day basis. Many times a day, your friends are nearby and free to hangout without you knowing it. loopt makes sure you never miss that opportunity for a spontaneous meet up. How much does loopt cost?
loopt is free for a limited time. Standard messaging rates still apply. (Note: Sending messages from within the loopt mobile app is free. Any replies to that message are charged as regular text messages.)How do I sign up?
It's easy. There are three ways that you can sign-up.
You can sign up right now on the web
Search "loopt" on the Boost Wireless Web and follow instructions.
Call loopt customer care 1-877-LOOPT-ME (1-877-566-7863) and have a customer care rep send you a link to the loopt mobile App. Can anyone find where I am?
No. Only friends can share location with each other. Even if you're friends with someone, you choose who you want to share location with and when you want to share it.How do I stop sharing my location?
You can stop sharing your location on the web, on your mobile or by calling us directly.
Web
Go to the My Friends page under the Friends tab
Select 'Nobody' from the drop down menu under 'Who can find me?'
Another way is: Go to the Settings/Privacy menu under the Settings tab. Select 'Nobody' under 'Who can find me?'
Mobile
Go to the Profile/Privacy from Main Menu.
Set the 'Who can find me?' option to Nobody by toggling left and right.

Call loopt customer care 1-877-LOOPT-ME (1-877-566-7863) to have us help you turn location sharing off. How do I remove a friend?
You can remove friends from your list on the web or on the phone.
Web:
Go to the My Friends page under the Friends tab. Find the link to remove a friend to the right of each of your friends.
Confirm that this friend should no longer be in your friend list.
Mobile:
Select Friend Setup from Main Menu
Select the Remove Friend option and press OK
Find the friend you wish to remove and press OK
Confirm that this is the person you want to remove and press OK
Your friend should be removed from your list. If not, exit Friend Setup and try again. How do you protect my privacy?
Every way we can. loopt was designed with privacy as a priority. That's why loopt is built as a closed network for you to use with the friends you see and speak to on a day to day basis. We give you total control of your privacy. You can hide your location at any time from the web or your mobile phone. How do I change the way my location updates?
There are two options for location updating. You can set your location manually or automatically. Manual updates require that you set your location to an address, place or the last location you were at. Automatic updates use the GPS in your phone to locate your phone every twenty minutes.
Automatic (using the mobile app):
From the loopt mobile app, select Settings from the Main Menu
Select 'Location Updating' and select the automatic option and confirm
Double check the subtitle of Location Updating on the settings page. It should read "Automatic Updates On". You can also check the icon at the top of the screen. It should be green, grey or yellow
Manual (using the mobile app):
From the loopt mobile app, select Settings from the Main Menu.
Select 'Location Updating' and select the manual option and confirm.
There are three options, either choose to set your location using your last location, an address or a place.
Check to see that this was done correctly. The icon at the top of the screen should be a grey satellite with a red X above it.
Manual (using the website):
Go to the Set Location page under the Settings tab.
Set your location by selecting a place, entering an address or simply double clicking directly on the map.
