LOC-AID Introduces First Location-enabled Mobile Marketing Platform

LOS ANGELES, CA September 11th, 2006 – LOC-AID today announces the availability of its location-enabled mobile marketing platform called Marketing ACE (Application Creation Engine). The platform allows wireless carriers and Fortune 500 enterprises to efficiently deploy marketing campaigns that leverage location-enabled networks and phones. The inaugural version of Marketing ACE enables mobile games such as “treasure/scavenger” hunts or point-to-point "chases" which encompass a relevant marketing theme within the game. ACE’s architecture separates the marketing content from the game functionality, delivering significant development and operational savings over multiple “one off” solutions deployed for each campaign. What does a typical game look like? One campaign may direct the player to a particular location (e.g., store grand opening) which is validated, then offered a clue or puzzle to solve, the answer determines the number of points accrued. The game winner is the player that gathers the most points in the least time, while visiting all the game locations. In another campaign version, players who complete the game are entered into a random drawing for a prize. A community-building campaign may offer a point-to-point chase (e.g., “visit the 3 stores nearest your location”) as part of a larger awareness promotion. The Marketing ACE platform delivers content-rich interactions such as pictures, video, sound or text and can be provided as SMS, MMS, WAP or as a downloadable application.
