location based services

loc.alize.us is another web app from Sumaato Labs. It's still beta, but we are improving it all night long� Stay tuned and send us your critics, feature requests and whatever you think about it.

Address search is provided by Google and GeoNames.org. Photos are shared via Flickr and satellite imagery via Google Maps. Programming frameworks are based on Helma and Prototype.

How to Use

loc.alize.us is fairly easy to use. If you are new to the world of online apps, interactive maps and dynamic websites, follow these simple steps:
Navigate - Click "Find your place" to get your location.- Click, hold and drag map in any direction.- Double click to zoom in or out.- Use the zoom slider to quickly refine zoom level.
Explore Panel - Search people to find your buddies.- Click or search tag to filter by topic.- Rollover a tag to highlight related images.- Rollover a preview to see it's location .- Click a preview to get a larger view.
Share your photo - Copy dynamic page address to share your views.- Click "Create"-tab and learn how to localize photos.
Bookmarklet

The most easiest way to localize one of your photos is via the Localize Bookmarklet !
Once dragged to your bookmark toolbar you can activate it every time you are on a single Flickr photo page.
Copy And Paste

Are you old school? Of course you can still enter the location data manually.
Simply copy and paste these tags:
