RedSky’s Latest SLDA Enriched with E911 Protection and Location Based Services

RedSky Technologies has announced the launch of its RedSky Softphone Location Determination Application or SLDA, which enables the softphone users to register their location speedily.
The UK-based software company describes that its latest SLDA interfaces with any softphone to provide E911 protection and location-based services for the nomadic softphone users of America.
The unique feature of the SLDA system is that when softphones equipped with SLDA dial 911, the calls are automatically sent to the 911 dispatch centers, which in turn would find out the locations of the users. Besides it, SLDA uses the web mapping services of leading companies including Google, Yahoo and Microsoft. It facilitates the users to view maps oft their locations.
The company claims that the SLDA is an optional component of its E911 Manager enterprise software application that offers fully automation of E911 services for VoIP, digital and analog phones across the enterprise. It can work on any Microsoft Window-based softphone.
Most probably, the company will sell it in the fourth quarter of 2006 and it would be priced as a monthly mobility service charge per softphone for unlimited location updating.
