A New Way to Advertise With Google

A New Way to Advertise With Google

Now that satellite imagery is no longer for urban planners and spy agencies, some companies are getting clever about advertising on public satellite imaging services such as Google Maps.

Don't be surprised to see a Target Logo on top of your local Target store.

It turns out that there are quite a few surprises out there in map land. There's even an online scavenger hunt of sorts.

All this is without the benefit of location based services.

Maybe, in the not so distant future, people will paint ads on their roof in exchange for cash.

Think about it, none of your neighbors will see about the “Eat At Joe's” ad and, if they can't see it, they can't compain about it.

Only the satellite will know.
