Screen Capture for Cell Phones

When you write news and blog about cell phones and cell phone software it´s nearly a must to be able to capture the screen of a cell phone. I once tried to use a digital camera and take photos of my phone screen...Anyway, when you have applications like the Psiloc Screen Capture you can forget the digital camera. I was suprised how easy the Screen Capture was to use. And I would like to point out that this software is of course not for bloggers and cell phone geeks only. Most cell phones don´t have a screen capture utility and if you want to capture your screen you must use a screen capture software. There is not much to write about the how to use the software. It´s very easy - Capture the screen and save it and then transfer the image to your PC if you like. Screen Capture 1.72Screen Capture is available in English, Dutch, Finnish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Croatian, Czech, Hungarian, Polish, Turkish, Russian, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. There is a free 10 day trial version available and after that it will be yours for 12.95 USD / 9.95 EUR. The software is available for Symbian and UIQ phones. So it´s not only for Nokia smartphones.Another cell phone blogger Russel Beattie wrote:
...I realized that many pictures weren’t being captured correctly by FExplorer’s screen capturing function, so I went on the hunt for an app that would work on the 6680, and capture clean images. Some of the screen cap programs out there produce really fuzzy jpegs. But Psiloc’s app is great - it will auto-save so you don’t have to confirm each time, and it worked on just about every app I had except some of the games which take over the button presses and screen. The only complaint is that it defaulted the save folder to my phone’s memory and not the MMC.
There is a minor bug at in the finnish language version. I did not check all other languages, but the english one was ok.You take screen captures with this software by pushing the Pen or Abc and some other key. In the finnish version the option to use the Pen instead of the Abc was not mentioned. As it did not work with the Abc button on my Nokia 6630 I had some difficulties in the beginning.tags:
